A good waterproof road map :
You do not find a good road map of Costa Rica ?
Please note that you can find at the reception the new edition of the Toucan Map for a very interesting price of 14 $.
This is the only Costa Rica map with street level details for a dozen areas including the whole central valley around the international airport, Jacó, Manuel Antonio, Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna, Puerto Viejo, Puerto Jiménez, Alajuela, Heredia, Escazú, Tamarindo and Downtown San José.
Indexed locations of cities, parks, reserves, beaches, hotels, activities and all the other points of interest appear on the same side as the appropriate map so you don't have to flip back and forth.
Also a quick reference English/Spanish phrase section so if you do get lost you won't have to dig out your dictionary. Included driving distance table and drive time calculations, clear differentiation of paved and un-paved routes (updated in 2012), and symbols showing the location of butterfly gardens, hotsprings, scuba centers, canopy adventures, and many more activities in a rugged waterproof road map.
Rent à GPS :
Roads are really confusing in Costa Rica. There is no good signage or marking at all that's why we highly recommend you to rent a GPS. You can rent directly in TACACORI EcoLodge a GPS equiped with the Nüvi System from Garmin for only 5$/day (low season). With our GPS , you’ll be able to find your way around Costa Rica better than the locals ! Everything you need in one compact device in your hand ! With so many additional helpful travel applications, you’ll reach your destination faster and more relaxed.
Our GPS are equipped with the BEST map in Costa Rica, the one with the most POI (Points Of Interest) and the most recently updated (including the new highway #27 to Pacific coast & speed-camera alerts indicating the exact position and speed limit in those locations).

Private transportation service :
You need a professional driver and a car for few hours, a private transportation to take you one way to your final destination ?
We can book for you a private transfer to many populare destinations on the pacific coast such as Guanacaste, Puntarenas, Jaco, Quepos... This service includes all taxes and fees and no deposit fee is required. Ask us your request by e-mail in advance and we offer you the service of a bilangual driver for a transfer (one way) in confortable and secure conditions.
Early departure :
The breakfast is served in the Oropendola terrace from 7:00 to 9:00 am, but if you are leaving early (you must be at the airport 2 h 30 before the bording time) , no worries, we can prepare for you a good early breakfast. Just let us know before the reception was close, the day before your departure.
