Coming to TACACORI EcoLodge?

From the Juan Santamaria International Airport (Alajuela Province) - (RED route on the map)
Turn right after leaving the airport. After100 m, take the exit on your right in the direction of Alajuela. At the first light, go straight and cross the city of Alajuela going straight ahead. At the last traffic light, go straight, and pass in front of the courthouse. From there follow the brown signs "PARQUE NACIONAL POAS VOLCANO" and the signs Auto Mercado."Then follow the blue signs "Xandari hotel" after a small bridge turn left towards Tambor. Just keep following the blue signs "Xandari hotel, then another 500 meters after the hotel Xandari, TACACORI Ecolodge is on your right. (At the top of the hill, 120 m after a big white house).

From the major car rental agencies (near the Holiday Inn) - (GREEN route on map)
Coming out of the rental car park, turn right and follow the brown signs "Parque Nacional Poas Volcano" by going straight ahead. At the third traffic light (Mac Do, Banco Nacional, Tropical station), turn right again and follow the brown signs "Parque Nacional Poas Volcano." At the courthouse, turn right and continue straight following the signs of the national park and the signs of Auto Mercado. Then follow the blue signs "Xandari hotel" after a small bridge turn left towards Tambor. Just keep following the blue signs "Xandari hotel, then another 500 meters after the hotel Xandari, TACACORI Ecolodge is on your right. (At the top of the hill, 120 m after a big white house).

You can take an airport taxi (recognizable by its orange color) or a normal taxi (red with a yellow triangle on the door).

Caution, some malicious taxis drivers tell our residents that the hotel they have chosen is closed or is located in a bad neighbourhood or that this is not a good hotel, it is actually a technique to take them to another place where they receive money. Beware also of informal taxis that Costa Ricans call "Pirate Taxis". It is not recommended to use those kind of taxis during your stay since they are not officially recognized as taxis in case of problems;

If the taxi you have chosen does not know where TACACORI Ecolodge is, tell him to follow the route of the "Parque Nacional Volcan Poas.
